Job summary

GE Vernova in Niskayuna, NY seeks a research-focused engineer to develop high-impact computer vision concepts, perception, and system-level integration. You will lead architecture, design, and software lifecycles across complex robotic systems.

Qualifications include a PhD or Master with extensive experience and strong C/C++ and Python skills; hands-on with SLAM, 3D perception, and hardware-in-the-loop. On-site work in Niskayuna; relocation offered; discretionary bonus.

Qualifications

• PhD in Mechanical, Electrical, CS or related with 5+ years applied experience, OR Master's with 8+ years.
• Demonstrated experience in at least three of: systems architecture, camera/sensor drivers, software engineering for complex systems, perception/learning, sensor fusion, simulation, and hardware-in-the-loop.
• Strong programming in C/C++ and Python.
• Legal authorization to work in the US; on-site in Niskayuna, NY.
