Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking an entry-level AI Engineer to design, build, and operate AI-enabled applications for engineering and industrial use cases. You will work across software, ML and data interfaces, partnering with Data Scientists, Data Engineers, software teams and domain experts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree completed by the start date in a technical field.
• Programming experience in Python and familiarity with at least one other language or ecosystem.
• Foundational understanding of ML, data structures, algorithms, APIs and software testing.
• Experience using Git and building a working software or AI project through coursework, internships or portfolio.
• Ability to diagnose technical problems, learn unfamiliar tools and communicate tradeoffs clearly.
• Demonstrated teamwork, ownership, curiosity and attention to quality.

Responsibilities

• Build and test AI-enabled applications, APIs, model services and automation workflows.
• Integrate ML capabilities with data sources, tools and platforms.
• Translate prototypes into modular, readable software components.
• Implement evaluation, logging, monitoring and feedback mechanisms.
• Use Git, code reviews, automated testing and CI/CD practices.
• Package and deploy workloads using approved cloud, container and orchestration patterns.
• Improve model or workflow performance via experimentation and design.
• Collaborate with end users to ensure AI tools fit engineering workflows.
• Follow cybersecurity, privacy and Responsible AI requirements throughout lifecycle.
• Share reusable components and documentation with the AI engineering community.
