Qualifications

• Significant experience (>10 years) with scientific computing, image analysis, and developing Machine Learning based image segmentation.
• Programming skills in MATLAB, Python, and Java.
• Experience with light-sheet microscopy data and sCMOS cameras.

Responsibilities

• Supports efforts to identify problems, issues and needs, and provides solution options in support of strategic decision-making.
• May supervise the daily activities of unit or program staff, identify and facilitate staff training opportunities, and resolve routine personnel issues.
• Provides innovative expertise and experience in modeling, analysis, and optimization of large-scale design and fabrication efforts.
• Coordinating project activities and scheduling across teams.
• Contributes to designing, constructing, integrating, operating, testing, and improving large-scale instrumentation systems.
• Conducts R&D of new processes and approaches for advanced instrumentation in collaboration with scientists.
• Prepares design status and technical reports for reviews and sponsor communications.
