Job summary

Integral Federal in North Carolina seeks a Senior Computer Systems Engineer/Architect to design, develop, and support complex applications and enterprise logistics systems for the US Coast Guard ISD portfolio.

The role requires hands-on software development and systems engineering, collaborating across Agile teams, with a Secret clearance and regular full-time employment. Location is US-North Carolina-Elizabeth City, focusing on mission-critical deployments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or associate degree in Computer Science, Math, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field, or IT Certification.
• Six (6) years' experience equivalent to three (3) years of education.
• Six (6) years with Ingres, SQL, MS SQL Server, and Oracle relational databases.
• Six (6) years with Procedure Language/SQL and stored procedures and triggers.
• Six (6) years in a System Modeling Tool.
• Six (6) years with Kubernetes, Jira, Confluence, and Bitbucket or equivalent.
• Must be able to obtain a favorable Tier 1 for unclassified systems.
• Secret Clearance

Responsibilities

• Design and develop solutions to complex applications problems, system administration issues, or network concerns; perform systems management and integration.
• Develop new software solution concepts for enterprise logistics systems using Agile principles for a 5-year period.
• Develop software standards to improve system stability.
• Incorporate industry technologies for asset logistic support and standardize software support processes.
• Support enterprise applications using industry practices to meet requirements and modernization efforts.
• Create internal validation documentation including technical specifications and regression test plans.
• Debug software and identify corrections to meet requirements.

Overview

Provide DevSecOps and Agile IT support services for operational mission support for the systems under the United States Coast Guard (USCG) Aviation Logistics Center (ALC), Information Systems Division (ISD) portfolio.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop solutions to complex applications problems, system administration issues, or network concerns. Perform systems management and integration functions.
• Participates in developing new software solution concepts and related enterprise logistics systems (utilizing the Agile Software Development principles) to extend current capability for a projected period of 5 years.
• Develop software standards for use with software tools / solutions to improve system stability.
• Manage and incorporate industry proven technology for asset logistic support solutions and identify standard process for support of software whether developed organically or acquired by other means (GOTS, COTS etc.).
• Participates in supporting the enterprise applications through the use of industry accepted practices for the evaluation of alternative solutions to meet customer's existing requirements and USCG modernization efforts.
• Participate in the internal validation documentation to include, but not limited to, technical specifications, special instructions, and regression test plans.
• Participates in debugging software and identify required corrections to meet specified requirements.

Required:

• Minimum of six (6) years of experience with Ingres relational database software, SQL, Microsoft SQL Server, and Oracle relational database software. Experience in principles, practices, or procedures used in phases of application/system lifecycle development, engineering, programming, and/or analysis.
• Minimum of six (6) years of experience with Procedure Language/SQL and stored procedures and triggers.
• Minimum of six (6) years of experience in a System Modeling Tool.
• Six (6) years of experience with Kubernetes, Jira, Confluence, and Bitbucket or equivalent.
• Must be able to obtain a favorable Tier 1 for unclassified systems.
