Job summary

AHEAD builds platforms for digital business and designs modern compute and virtualization solutions for diverse clients. The Technical Consultant role partners with clients, project managers, architects, and delivery teams to translate requirements into secure, scalable infrastructure.

The ideal candidate has extensive VMware vSphere experience, strong documentation and communication skills, and a willingness to travel to client sites.

Qualifications

• Five+ years designing or supporting enterprise compute and virtualization.
• Hands-on VMware vSphere experience including ESXi, vCenter, clusters, lifecycle ops.
• Experience with server hardware, capacity planning, performance analysis, and ops support.
• Proven ability to document details for clients and teams.
• Methodical troubleshooting and issue resolution skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with project teams.
• Willingness to travel to client sites as required.

Responsibilities

• Participate in client discovery, assessment, planning, and design workshops.
• Design and implement compute platforms (rack, blade, hyperconverged, GPU infra).
• Deploy and optimize virtualization and platform services (VMware, Hyper-V, Kubernetes).
• Contribute to data center modernization, migrations, and runbooks.
• Produce detailed designs, build guides, and knowledge transfer materials.
• Collaborate with storage, networking, security, cloud, and automation specialists.
