Job summary

NVIDIA is seeking a Compute Systems Software Engineer to design and maintain kernel drivers and embedded software for Data Center products. You will work on next-generation compute GPU software across Linux and Windows, collaborating with global teams to support hardware architectures and OEM integrations. Applicants should have a BS or MS in CS/EE, 8+ years of low-level driver experience, and strong C/C++ skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science or Master of Science in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• 8+ years hands-on experience developing low level device drivers, especially for the Linux OS
• Strong software engineering skills and drive to solve hard problems
• Strong programming skills in C and C++
• Detailed knowledge of operating system internals and device driver models
• Low-level operating system knowledge (required)
• Excellent written and oral English communication to collaborate globally
• Self-motivated and eager to learn, grow and create
• Ability to work independently with minimal direction
• Windows experience is a plus

Responsibilities

• Design software for next-generation compute GPU solutions.
• Develop and maintain software technologies that enable NVIDIA GPU hardware across Linux and Windows, ensuring performance and feature functionality.
• Implement cross-platform software solutions for new hardware architectures.
• Collaborate with global teams across software, hardware, architecture, and OEM support.
• Develop features for clock, thermal, and power management.
• Build telemetry, device initialization, management, and reset capabilities.
• Implement memory-management solutions and performance optimizations for GPU platforms.
• Contribute to embedded software development supporting GPU functionality and platform integration.
