Placements24 is seeking a Senior Computational Chemist to join its remote research team. You will design and execute molecular modeling studies, QSAR analyses, and virtual screening to advance drug discovery and development.

Collaborate with medicinal chemists, biologists, and pharmacologists to translate computational insights into experiments, while maintaining and evolving computational tools and pipelines in a fully remote setup.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Computational Chemistry, Cheminformatics, Physical Chemistry, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in computational chemistry, particularly in drug discovery.
• Proficiency in molecular modeling software and structure-based drug design.

Responsibilities

• Perform molecular modeling, virtual screening, and QSAR studies.
• Develop and validate computational methods for predicting molecular properties, binding affinities, and ADMET characteristics.
• Design novel molecular entities using cheminformatics and molecular modeling tools for drug discovery programs.
• Collaborate closely with medicinal chemists, biologists, and pharmacologists to integrate computational insights into experimental design.
• Analyze and interpret large datasets from computational simulations and experimental results.
• Contribute to the development and maintenance of computational chemistry software and databases.
