Job summary

InfuCare Rx in West Palm Beach area seeks an experienced Pharmacy Technician/Compounding Technician to support compounding and dispensing while delivering patient-centered service. This role works under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist and collaborates with caregivers, prescribers and internal teams to ensure safe, accurate preparation of medications.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Must be a registered Pharmacy Technician with the State Board of Pharmacy.
• Minimum of 5 years' experience as a Pharmacy technician in a compounding pharmacy (if applicable).
• IV tech certification is preferred.
• Excellent communication, reading, writing and speaking skills.
• Experience providing customer service to internal and external customers.
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.
• Ability to compound, prepare and dispense medications and maintain records.

Responsibilities

• Assist the pharmacist with the preparation and dispensing of medications and supplies.
• Perform basic pharmaceutical calculations to obtain correct dose.
• Demonstrate safety, sterile product processing, and infection control principles.
• Dispense products and record in pharmacy management software to generate delivery documents.
• Ensure a licensed pharmacist checks all outgoing prescriptions prior to delivery.
• Assist with selection, packing and delivery of specialty infusion products.
• Contact patients and caregivers to determine health, supplies or delivery matters.
• Confirm delivery based on company protocols.
• Assist with recording and maintaining pharmacy logs.
• Maintain surfaces and equipment per policies and regulatory requirements.
• Adhere to safety and quality assurance practices and comply with laws.
• Assist with product purchasing, inventory and equipment management.
