Job summary

Legacy Lyfe Pharmacies in Aspen, CO is seeking a Compounding Pharmacist (Sterile and Non-Sterile) to lead non-sterile production, oversee sterile tasks, and supervise technicians. Qualifications

• PharmD or BS in Pharmacy from an accredited program.
• Active, unrestricted Colorado pharmacist license by start date.
• Meet all state and federal eligibility requirements for pharmacy practice.
• Knowledge of sterile and/or non-sterile compounding principles, calculations, documentation, and QA.
• Ability to work with hazardous drugs (non-antineoplastic) and required PPE.
• Strong attention to detail, professional judgment, and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a team and support a startup launch culture.

Responsibilities

• Provide pharmacist oversight for sterile and non-sterile compounding operations.
• Verify prescriptions, patient and prescriber data, calculations, labeling, and BUD before release.
• Supervise, train, coach, and evaluate Compounding Pharmacy Technicians.
• Lead day-to-day non-sterile production and support sterile production scheduling.
• Prepare dosage forms such as capsules, creams, ointments, gels, troches, suspensions, solutions, suppositories.
• Ensure hazardous and non-hazardous compounding uses proper controls and PPE.
• Review master formulation records, logs, and QA results for accuracy.
• Support formulation development, scale-up, and standardization under the PIC.
• Investigate deviations, errors, complaints, and quality events; support CAPA.
• Monitor inventory levels, certificates of analysis, expiration dates, and access controls.
• Maintain compliance with Colorado Board of Pharmacy, DEA where applicable, and USP standards.
• Participate in competency assessments, testing, and inspection prep.
• Communicate with prescribers, patients, vendors, and internal departments.
• Serve as pharmacist coverage for designated operational duties.
