Job summary

Spirit AeroSystems, Inc. seeks a M04A repair technician to perform professional repair work with independence and ingenuity across multiple fields. The role involves planning, giving technical advice, and potential product development responsibilities within a union environment.

The position requires performing fabrications of composite parts, working from blueprints, and using precision tools. Shift flexibility and a post-offer vision exam are required to proceed.

• Must be willing and able to work any shift.
• Post-offer vision examination required to confirm ability to perform tasks.

Responsibilities

• Initiates or participates in short- and long-range planning, decisions on repair policies and procedures.
• Provides technical advice to management and operating departments.
• May take responsibility for product development and specialized engineering systems.
• Coordinates work programs and directs use of equipment and materials.
• Fabricates, assembles, forms and inspects composite parts and assemblies.
• Works from blueprints and work orders; verifies work per instructions and specs.
• Builds composite structure details using carbon and other composites.
• Performs multi-tasking and multi-machine operation where applicable.
