Job summary

Albany International Corp. in Rochester, New Hampshire, is seeking a Sr. Engineer in M&P to advance composite manufacturing capabilities with hands-on engineering and cross-disciplinary collaboration.

You will contribute to exploring new materials, processes, and ways to build advanced composite structures while growing technical capabilities and supporting both internal initiatives and customer-focused development efforts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in materials, mechanical, civil, or aerospace engineering; advanced degree a plus.
• 2–5 years in aerospace, composites, materials engineering, or related fields.
• Exposure to composite materials, manufacturing processes, or product development.
• Exposure to Ceramic Matrix Composites (CMC) and related processing methods is a plus.
• Strong design, development, and manufacturing skills for composite structures and processes.
• Experience with CAD/ FEM tools and simulation software.
• Teamwork and leadership abilities; mentoring capability.
• MS Office proficiency; strong written and oral communication.

Responsibilities

• Identify and lead initiatives to sustain world-class technical competency in R&D.
• Identify advanced technologies for potential business development and stay abreast of industry trends.
• Lead or contribute to program efforts including alternate materials and manufacturing processes.
• Provide mentoring and technical leadership; assess competencies and training needs.
• Collaborate on design verification/validation and qualification plans per cert agencies.
