You will design and formulate polymer matrix systems, optimize prepreg processing and cure parameters, evaluate materials, and lead multidisciplinary projects from qualification to commercialization, with travel 10–20%.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years hands-on composite materials experience.
• Degree in Materials Science, Polymer Engineering, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
• Experience with carbon/fiberglass/ceramic fibers and textile reinforcements is required.
• Strong understanding of thermoset resins and engineering thermoplastics.
• Product commercialization experience; travel 10-20%.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with customers and Sales to gather and analyze material requirements and specifications.
• Design and develop advanced fiber-reinforced composite systems.
• Design and formulate polymer matrix systems.
• Evaluate fiber and textile reinforcement materials.
• Optimize prepeg processing and curing parameters.
• Conduct mechanical, thermal, and fire performance evaluations.
• Lead multidisciplinary projects through qualification and commercialization.
• Provide technical application support to customers, Sales, and internal teams.
• Troubleshoot customer processing and application issues.
• Support manufacturing scale-up and continuous process improvement.
