Job summary

Dover Fueling Solutions designs advanced fueling and convenience retail equipment and seeks a Design Engineer focused on composites and mechanical structures in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will lead projects through stage-gate processes, coordinate prototypes, testing and analyses, and apply ECN and PDP methodologies to deliver durable, cost-efficient products for global customers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Composite Engineering, Material Science, or an equivalent degree with design experience.
• Minimum 5 years of design engineering experience in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
• Experience in composite design and manufacturing techniques for structural applications.
• 3D CAD experience with solid modeling and analysis tools (NX, ANSYS).
• Familiarity with ECN process, PDP, and industry standards (ISO-9001, UL, ASTM).

Responsibilities

• Lead design projects through a stage-gate process.
• Identify cost-saving projects and complete them from start to finish on time and within budget.
• Coordinate development phases: creation, prototypes, testing, and analysis.
• Design molds to efficiently process raw composite materials to meet material, design, and manufacturing requirements.
• Perform detailed element structural analysis of composite and metallic components and assemblies.
• Maintain document control, ECN releases, and BOMs.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, Purchasing, Quality Control, Sales, Marketing, Inventory Control, Production and HR as needed.
