Job summary

All American Racers is seeking a Sr. Composite Design Engineer to lead advanced composite structures from concept through production. You will drive structural optimization, oversee documentation, and collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to ensure certification readiness.

The role requires deep experience in aerospace composites, laminate theory, and strong CAD/FEA skills, with a focus on manufacturability and quality systems compliance.

Qualifications

• Experience in aerospace composite structural design.
• Extensive knowledge of laminate theory and ply orientation.
• Familiarity with AS9100 quality systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and development of composite structures and components.
• Create and review 3D models, drawings, and release packages (CATIA/NX/SolidWorks).
• Develop laminate schedules and stack-ups per load cases and manufacturing constraints.
• Perform structural analysis in collaboration with stress engineering to validate requirements.
• Interface with manufacturing, tooling, quality, and supply chain for DFM and production ramp.
