Job summary

Western Aircraft Inc. is seeking a Component Repair & Overhaul Manager to lead technicians, equipment, tooling, and data in compliance with 14 CFR Part 145. The role focuses on workmanship, quality, efficiency, and cost management while handling teardown reports, turn-around-time, and customer-facing issues.

You will drive budgeting, bids, and forecasts, mentor staff, and expand in-house capabilities with a focus on safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of general aviation experience.
• Minimum three years of leadership in aviation maintenance or component repair.
• Familiarity with FAA regulations and current repair procedures.

Responsibilities

• Ensure timely delivery of component repairs and overhauls in compliance with 14 CFR Part 145.
• Prepare, manage, and monitor budgets, project bids, and forecasts.
• Maintain quality standards while ensuring departmental profitability.
• Coordinate with Scheduling, Parts, and MRO departments, and external vendors.
• Provide updates on teardown reports, turn-around time, and technical issues to customers and stakeholders.
• Directly supervise assigned technicians within the Component Shop.
• Travel 10%.
