Job summary

Mercury Systems is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer specializing in Component Engineering to support our PMP team on a classified warfare program. You will lead component reviews, assess PMPs, and collaborate with customers and suppliers to ensure compliance and qualification of electronic parts.

The role is hybrid with a Huntsville, AL location, offering ongoing mentorship of junior engineers, NSPAR development, and process improvements within a large production program.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field.
• 4+ years of relevant defense/electronics experience or 2+ years with a master’s degree.
• Familiar with MIL/ASTM/AS standards and supplier management.
• Experience with electronic fabrication and NSMAR/NSPAR processes.
• Clear oral and written communication; ability to work remotely as part of a team.
• U.S. DoD Secret Clearance eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Lead component reviews and analyses to ensure program compliance.
• Collaborate with customers, government agencies, and cross-functional teams.
• Provide MRB technical assessments and document PMP activities.
• Research PCNs and obsolescence impacts; drive part standardization.
• Develop NSPARs, screening plans, and qualification test plans.
• Mentor junior engineers and support supplier audits.
• Maintain reports, databases, and PMPCB meeting records.
