Job summary

M&T Bank is seeking a Compliance Testing Advisor to manage and execute risk-based compliance testing engagements. This role involves coaching team members, engaging stakeholders, and advancing testing methodology within the Compliance Testing Group.

The position requires leading multiple engagements, reviewing findings, and collaborating with Internal Audit and business units to ensure regulatory alignment and effective testing across Wealth Management and Institutional Services domains.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in related field PLUS 6 years’ experience in compliance, legal, audit, risk, or other relevant function
• Demonstrated coaching/leadership experience
• Strong interpersonal and written communication skills
• Ability to read and understand laws and regulations
• Experience with risk-based testing approaches

Responsibilities

• Interface with all organization layers to gather process and control information.
• Perform compliance testing per standards and manage multiple engagements.
• Oversee planning and execution across a testing portfolio.
• Ensure timely completion of testing or escalate delays.
• Draft and communicate testing findings and control weaknesses.
