Job summary

World Relief is seeking a Sr. Compliance Manager to lead finance compliance, internal audit, investigations, and policy development across global offices.

The role strengthens internal controls, risk management, and regulatory adherence while coordinating with Finance, Operations, and Programs teams. Responsibilities include supervising audit staff, guiding corrective actions, updating policies, and training staff on financial operations, grant activity, and documentation standards.

Qualifications

• A four-year degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business.
• CPA, MBA, or Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) is preferred but not required.
• 2-5 years of accounting experience.
• Understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Working experience with automated accounting systems and financial report writing systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead World Relief’s finance compliance function, ensuring adherence to Uniform Guidance, GAAP, donor requirements, and organizational policies.
• Develop and supervise internal audit and investigations across Home Office, domestic, and international offices.
• Provide corrective action plans with root-cause analysis, owners, and timelines after audits or investigations.
• Lead policy, procedure, and systems alignment with practical procedures that tie to systems of record.
• Deliver finance compliance, internal control, audit readiness, and policy training to teams; promote accountability and improvement.
• Support annual external audits and coordinate with stakeholders for timely information.
