Job summary

The Louisiana Department of Insurance is seeking a Compliance Examiner Deputy Chief to lead financial examinations and supervise staff in the Office of Financial Solvency. You will shape examination policies, oversee reports for NAIC accreditation, and coordinate with regulators on multistate actions.

This role requires strong leadership, deep knowledge of insurance financials, and the ability to address findings with agency leadership. On-site role in Baton Rouge with competitive pay.

Qualifications

• Eight years of experience in accounting, auditing, banking, compliance management, financial operations, or insurance.
• Experience must include supervisory responsibility at the level described.

Responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate financial examinations of insurers to ensure compliance with laws and standards.
• Supervise in-house and contract examiners, assign work, evaluate performance, and train staff.
• Develop and implement examination policies, procedures, and standards for consistency.
• Oversee examination reports and NAIC accreditation documentation.
• Coordinate with NAIC and other regulators on multistate examinations and regulatory matters.
