Job summary

Kleinfelder is seeking a Senior Compliance Environmental Scientist/Engineer to support our growing environmental compliance practice from multiple locations in the U.S. The role involves air permitting, stormwater, SPCC, waste management, and complex data analysis across industries, with opportunities for groundwater work and site assessments.

Ideal candidates have a minimum of 10 years in environmental disciplines, strong writing and math skills, and the ability to travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in environmental sciences, environmental or chemical engineering.
• Advanced writing skills and strong mathematical/problem-solving abilities.
• Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in environmental disciplines.
• Ability to travel occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Provide multi-media environmental compliance support (air permitting, stormwater, SPCC, waste management, air emissions evaluations, modeling, reporting, compliance auditing, industrial hygiene).
• Support site assessment and groundwater remediation as needed.
• Apply regulatory interpretation, data management, and engineering calculations to expert solutions.
• Manage projects and maintain client relationships; work independently or in teams.
