Job Description Summary

The Sr. Compliance Engineer will participate in projects acquiring global regulatory compliance approvals for new and updated products. The role requires experience with design and testing for safety, EMC/wireless, and similar certifications, with knowledge of UL, CSA, FCC, IEC, and EN standards. Broader experience with environmental regulations like RoHS, WEEE, REACH, and Prop65 is advantageous. The engineer will advise R&D teams on development practices, develop test plans, and communicate with labs and stakeholders.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Interpret and communicate changes in technical regulations and standards.
  • Review designs for compliance.
  • Lead projects with test labs, including local travel.
  • Coordinate changes with engineering teams to ensure compliance.
  • Drive certification projects across teams and partners.
  • Compile data and prepare reports on products and projects.
  • Perform engineering studies to support compliance strategies.
  • Prepare and edit test procedures.
  • Facilitate safety reviews and update existing products.
  • Lead cross-functional teams on compliance issues.
  • Define hardware certification test requirements and validate reports.
  • Support environmental compliance efforts for RoHS, WEEE, REACH, and Prop65.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
  • At least 3 years of compliance (safety or EMC) engineering experience.

  • Experience in regulated industries, preferably FDA.
