The Role

We are looking for a Senior Legal Counsel – Compliance & Employment to join our Legal team. This role involves overseeing company-wide compliance programs, serving as a trusted advisor to HR on employment and labor issues, and supporting legal operations and compliance initiatives. The position offers an opportunity to lead and develop a legal team and to learn the Fortive Business System (FBS).

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage legal compliance programs and policies.
• Track and report on compliance KPIs.
• Promote compliance initiatives to leadership.
• Develop training programs to increase awareness.
• Investigate misconduct allegations and support investigations.
• Advise HR on labor and employment law matters.
• Conduct legal research and provide advice on various operational matters.

Qualifications

• Licensed attorney with 7+ years of legal experience, including 3+ years in compliance and employment law.
• Strong judgment, organizational, and communication skills.
• Experience managing legal teams preferred.
• Knowledge of US laws such as FCPA, FLSA, ADA, NLRA, FMLA, Civil Rights Acts; familiarity with UK, Netherlands, Australia, or Brazil employment laws is a plus.

Additional Information

This position may be remote (US), and visa sponsorship is not available. Compensation includes bonus and equity options, with a salary range of USD 120,500 - 223,900, GBP 68,800 - 114,600, or NLD 75,800 - 126,300 depending on location.
