Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Lead Compliance Auditor in the Defense Sector Mission Assurance to serve as the senior technical authority for audit execution across manufacturing and production operations.

You will own the Layered Process Audit program, develop risk-based audit plans, mentor auditors, and ensure conformance to ISO 9001, AS9100, DFARS, ITAR/EAR, FAR, and DoD requirements. This role reports to the Compliance Manager and requires strong leadership on site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred in a relevant field.
• 5+ years of quality auditing/compliance in defense or regulated manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Lead audit programs, develop plans, assign roles, and manage timelines to closure.
• Develop risk-based audit plans and checklists aligned with contracts and procedures.
• Maintain audit independence and report on program health and risk.
• Mentor and calibrate auditors, drive root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Apply ISO 9001/AS9100, ITAR/EAR, DFARS, FAR requirements across programs.
• Lead Layered Process Auditing on manufacturing and production floors.
• Coordinate with Operations, Engineering, Contracts, and Quality teams.
