Job summary

Brighthouse Financial is seeking a Senior Compliance Analyst in Charlotte, NC. This role supports AML, privacy, data governance, and regulatory programs across the Legal and Compliance organization, partnering with business and technology teams to manage regulatory risk.

You will analyze AML matters, handle data rights requests, and help strengthen privacy and AI compliance capabilities while promoting awareness of evolving laws.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in financial services (insurance preferred).
• 2+ years in compliance (privacy or data compliance preferred).
• Experience interpreting laws and regulations a plus.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements related to insurance.
• Intellectual curiosity, flexibility, and adaptability with superiors and peers.
• Strong negotiation skills and ability to partner with the business.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Excellent analytical, investigative, and writing skills.
• Aptitude to utilize AI for process efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Identify, investigate, mitigate, and report privacy incidents to the legal team.
• Perform AML due diligence and file federally required Suspicious Activity Reports when necessary.
• Support data rights requests; ensure timely investigation and response.
• Serve as a compliance liaison for partners on regulatory initiatives.
• Coordinate awareness of AML, AI, and privacy policies and new laws.
• Produce metrics for oversight across AML, Privacy, and Regulatory Examinations.
• Review new regulatory requirements for privacy, cybersecurity, and AI.
• Maintain AML and Privacy program policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
