About the Opportunity

The Compliance function at OKX is responsible for the overall compliance culture at the company. We’re a team of risk‑minded problem solvers who advise the business on the company’s regulatory obligations and enterprise risk. Our OKX Malta team, in particular, is responsible for the overall AML and regulatory compliance programs in‑country, meeting ongoing EU and global applicable requirements.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Support the MLRO in operating the firm’s financial crime compliance framework, ensuring adherence to MiCA, local AML/CFT law, and applicable EU AML/CFT requirements
  • Assist in preparing responses to information requests, RFIs, and inspections from national competent authorities, FIUs, and European supervisory bodies
  • Contribute to enterprise‑wide and business‑line financial crime risk assessments, and support monitoring, testing, and issue remediation across KYC/CDD, transaction monitoring, sanctions, and blockchain analytics controls
  • Partner with Product teams on new product, service, and token listings to ensure ML/TF risks are assessed and financial crime obligations — including Travel Rule and wallet screening — are addressed before launch
  • Build working relationships with stakeholders across Data, Engineering, Finance, Legal, Product, and Risk to embed financial crime controls into systems and processes
  • Support ad hoc projects, including regulatory change initiatives and remediation programmes, in a fast‑paced and evolving environment
  • Help maintain AML/CFT policies, procedures, and risk appetite documentation in line with changing regulatory expectations, and assist with MLRO reporting to senior management and the Board
  • Stay current on developments across the crypto economy and the financial crime landscape — including typologies, illicit finance trends, blockchain and protocol developments, industry participants, and EU/national rulemaking, guidance, and enforcement
What We Look For In You

  • Ability to work within a global working environment
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written
Nice to Haves
  • Compliance experience within Traditional Exchanges or Investment banks
  • Familiarity with MiCA or Payments rules as well as some understanding of MiFID II regulation

  • Wellness and meal allowances
  • Comprehensive healthcare schemes for employees and dependants
