Job summary

Jobgether SRL, on behalf of a partner company, seeks a Complex Claim Specialist, Excess & Surplus in the United States. You will manage complex CGL claims from investigation through resolution, with a focus on coverage analysis and risk transfer opportunities.

The role requires advanced claims knowledge, strong negotiation and communication with attorneys, insureds, brokers, and other stakeholders, plus willingness to travel for mediations, trials, and related meetings.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of experience handling or litigating commercial general liability claims.
• Ability to interpret insurance policies for coverage and analyze contracts for risk transfer obligations.
• Strong written and verbal communication; ability to explain complex claims clearly.
• Experience negotiating and influencing with internal and external stakeholders.
• Willingness to travel for mediations, trials, and related meetings.

Responsibilities

• Manage complex commercial general liability claims from investigation through resolution.
• Identify exposures and ensure timely, accurate claims reserves.
• Evaluate coverage issues and opportunities for risk transfer.
• Engage and manage experts, counsel, and other professionals as needed.
• Develop and implement negotiation strategies to achieve favorable outcomes.
• Communicate exposures, risks, and actions to stakeholders and external parties.
• Build relationships with attorneys, insureds, brokers, and other key players.
• Attend mediations, trials, and related meetings as required.
