Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Athletic Training or related field.
• Current athletic training certification and Arizona licensure or eligibility.
• Experience working with athletes in sports medicine or high-performance settings.
• Knowledge of orthopedic rehabilitation and sports medicine principles.
• Experience mentoring athletic training students or interns preferred.
• Strong organizational and documentation skills.
• Ability to travel and work flexible hours during baseball season.

Responsibilities

• Provide athletic training and rehabilitation coverage for complex league rehab, spring training, and camps.
• Assist with game, practice, and workout coverage, including pre/post treatments and field setup.
• Coordinate post-injury care, including therapy, scheduling, and communication with medical staff.
• Manage medical travel logistics for appointments, transportation, and lodging.
• Serve as a floating resource to maintain consistency in medical care and training room operations.
• Collaborate with team physicians, PTs, ATs, and other staff to provide comprehensive player care.
• Document injuries, treatments, and rehab sessions timely and accurately.
• Oversee the athletic training internship program, including schedules, mentorship, and development.
• Maintain medical and rehab spaces and equipment, including ice machines and modalities.
• Support EMR workflows and medical technology initiatives.
