Job description

As Senior Compensation Partner reporting to the Senior Manager of Compensation, you bring deep expertise and a strong partnership mindset to the client’s people, product, discipline, and regional leaders. You act as a trusted advisor and strategic partner on all things related to compensation, combining rigorous analytical thinking with creativity, curiosity, and sound judgment.

You develop a deep understanding of the business/region you support and collaborate closely with HR leaders and partners to design compensation solutions that align with the client’s compensation philosophy, support business goals, and ensure equitable and competitive outcomes. While you are very comfortable working with data and managing key compensation processes, your greatest impact comes from your ability to translate insights into thoughtful, practical solutions while guiding leaders and HR partners through complex pay decisions.

You are known as a go-to resource for compensation guidance, navigating nuance, challenging assumptions and thinking beyond rigid frameworks, while still upholding the client’s commitment to fair, consistent and principled pay practices. You help elevate understanding of compensation across the client by educating leaders and partners, mentoring teammates, and helping to shape compensation programs that work for the client’s unique culture and business needs.

Responsibilities
  • Act as a trusted compensation advisor to HR Business Partners, Talent Acquisition and business leaders, providing thoughtful guidance on complex compensation decisions and helping leaders navigate tradeoffs while maintaining alignment with the client’s compensation philosophy and pay equity principles.
  • Partner deeply with client groups to understand their business strategy, talent needs, and organizational dynamics, using those insights to shape compensation recommendations and solutions that support both people and business outcomes.
  • Design and administer pay practices and governance to help ensure that the client's compensation programs remain competitive, equitable, and aligned with business priorities.
  • Lead and help evolve compensation processes like annual compensation planning, off-cycle review governance, and job matching, ensuring they are effective, scalable, and supportive of sound decision making.
  • Partner in the ongoing maturation of the client’s job architecture, helping design practical, data driven workflows across leaders, HRBPs, and compensation partners that support clarity and consistency.
  • Evaluate and support international compensation programs, ensuring they remain equitable, current, and aligned with the client's broader compensation philosophy while reflecting regional realities.
  • Proactively analyze market data, internal trends, and talent insights (such as turnover, hiring competitiveness, and offer acceptance rates) to assess the positioning of roles within client groups and recommend thoughtful actions.
  • Collaborate with the broader Compensation team to bring business insights that inform program design and improvement; help develop and maintain compensation programs, systems and tools.
  • Partner with the People Systems team on compensation-related implementations and process improvements, helping ensure systems and workflows support efficient and informed decision-making.
  • Provide mentorship, guidance, and knowledge sharing within the compensation team and across the client to strengthen compensation literacy and capability.
  • Stay current on industry trends, emerging practices, and regulatory developments in compensation and total rewards, bringing forward ideas that help the client continue to evolve its approach.
Required qualifications
  • 6-8 years of progressive experience in a compensation or total rewards role, demonstrating increase in scope, ownership, and impact
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. compensation regulations and compliance, including Federal, state, and local employment laws governing pay practices
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and Google Sheets, including complex modeling, scenario analysis, and data visualization to support compensation insights and decision-making
  • Proven ability to translate data into clear insights and recommendations for HR partners, business leaders, and executives
  • Highly collaborative and curious with the ability to partner, influence, and educate stakeholders across all levels of the organization, from individual contributors to senior leaders
  • Strong interpersonal resilience with the ability to effectively partner with highly engaged stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ability to navigate challenging conversations, manage differing perspectives, and maintain professionalism while driving constructive outcomes
  • Working knowledge of international compensation practices and considerations across global markets
Desired qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Business Management, Economics, Human Resources Management, or other relevant field, or equivalent work experience
  • Financial and accounting familiarity - ability to partner with our Finance and Accounting colleagues to provide relevant data and investigate outliers
