Job summary

The University of Missouri-Columbia is seeking an experienced Sr. Human Resources Specialist for the Compensation team.

The role provides professional consultation and administrative oversight on compensation projects, monitors the compensation inbox, and oversees classification and evaluation work independently. Reporting to the Director of Compensation, the position focuses on logging requests, updating job codes and descriptions, and supporting salary structure initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience required.
• Strong Excel proficiency and ability to work with large data files from multiple sources.
• Demonstrated strong attention to detail, analytical and organizational skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Log and track incoming work requests and assign to team.
• Maintain job code tables and update classification specifications and job descriptions.
• Manage pay matrices and update compensation-related tools as needed.
• Assist with salary structure updates, analyses, and related documentation.
• Deliver timely completion of projects including classifications, position numbers, and leveling guides.
