Job summary

ScottsMiracle-Gro is seeking a Senior Compensation Analyst to join our Compensation team. The role partners with HR and business leaders to ensure competitive, equitable, and compliant programs. You will analyze data, benchmark roles, and influence pay decisions while maintaining data integrity.

The position is hybrid at WHQ with 2–3 days in-office weekly. Starting pay range is $91,100–$107,200 annually and is incentive-eligible under corporate programs; location-based adjustments may apply.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
• Experience with compensation analysis, market benchmarking, job pricing, and data modeling preferred.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to work with large datasets and identify trends.
• Ability to communicate complex compensation concepts clearly to HR and business partners.

Responsibilities

• Conduct market pricing and benchmarking for a variety of roles using external surveys and internal data.
• Perform advanced compensation analyses and modeling to support pay decisions and program design.
• Conduct pay equity and internal equity analyses, identifying trends and actions.
• Support complex compensation reviews including job evaluations and promotions.
• Partner with HR and business stakeholders to provide compensation guidance and recommendations.
• Support governance processes, audits, and data integrity of compensation data.
• Prepare analytical summaries and translate data into actionable insights.
• Assist compensation projects across a seasonal consumer products business.
• Mentor less experienced colleagues as needed.
