Job summary

Visiting Angels of Bowling Green is hiring a Companion Caregiver to support seniors at home across South Central Kentucky, including Glasgow, Scottsville, Franklin and more. You’ll wear many hats, delivering compassionate care and helping clients stay at home with dignity.

A Companion Caregiver helps with personal care, light housekeeping, meals, mobility and medications, with flexible shifts and a supportive team. High school diploma and valid transportation required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Excellent time-management skills.
• Reliable transportation to client visits.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Must pass a background check and drug screen.
• Training/knowledge in First Aid and emergency response.

Responsibilities

• Helping clients handle personal care and hygiene.
• Managing light housekeeping.
• Encouraging clients to meet their exercise and fitness goals.
• Prompting clients to take medications at the right times.
• Assisting with shopping and groceries or shopping for them.
• Planning and preparing meals in collaboration with clients.
• Assisting with mobility and ambulation and accompanying to appointments.
