Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a Senior Community Outreach Coordinator to plan, coordinate, and implement its Community Health Needs Assessment. This role drives strategies to address identified community health needs in alignment with the organization's imperatives.

You will collaborate with diverse stakeholders, leveraging 5+ years of nonprofit/healthcare outreach experience and an Associate's degree. Spanish bilingual skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree required; 5+ years coordinating outreach in the nonprofit/healthcare sector.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with excellent organization.
• Proficient in Google Suite and Microsoft Office platforms.

The Senior Community Outreach Coordinator is responsible for planning, coordinating and implementing Hackensack Meridian Health's (HMH) Community Health Needs Assessment (CHNA) as well as developing strategies to address identified community health needs and in support of Hackensack Meridian Health's strategic imperatives and centers of excellence.

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

• Associate's degree.
• Excellent organization and communication skills.
• 5+ years experience coordinating outreach programs in the non-profit community setting (social services, public health, healthcare, education) with diverse populations (children, seniors, etc).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient computer skills that include but are not limited to Google Suite and/or Microsoft Office platforms.

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferred:

• Bachelor's or Master's in public health or related field.
• Bi-lingual (Spanish).

Licenses and Certifications Required:

• Current Driver's License from a USA state.

Licenses and Certifications Preferred:

• Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES).

Minimum rate of $61,110.40 Annually

Budget and Grant Funding: Departmental budgets and any grant funding associated with the job position may impact the pay that can be offered. Some jobs may also be eligible for performance-based incentives, bonuses, or commissions not reflected in the starting rate. Certain positions may also be eligible for shift differentials for work performed on evening, night, or weekend shifts.
