Job summary

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is recruiting a Band 6 Community Mental Health Nurse Specialist for the Inverclyde Adult Community Mental Health Team. The role involves managing a caseload within a multidisciplinary team, providing high-quality mental health care and leadership to staff.

The post includes responsibilities such as CPA care management and supporting the Community Response Service. The position is permanent and full-time, based at Crown House, Greenock, with 36 hours per week

Qualifications

• Registered Mental Health Nurse with current NMC registration.
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for work.
• Significant experience working within a community mental health setting.
• Possession of, working towards, or willingness to undertake a recordable qualification relevant to the post (e.g. BA, BSc or Diploma).

Responsibilities

• Manage your own caseload and work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality mental health care.
• Act as Care Manager for CPA registered cases and facilitate the Physical Health and Wellbeing Clinic, including governance responsibilities.
• Provide clinical leadership and supervision to junior staff and contribute to service development and quality improvement initiatives.
• Support or rotate into the Community Response Service for urgent assessment and intervention.
• Engage in continuous professional development and training opportunities.
