Job summary

Qualifications

• 3 years of full-time counseling, community work or community health in government or community settings.
• Education/experience substitutions allowed for up to six months; college credits may substitute.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interviews local residents, landlords, government personnel, and others to solicit support for development programs.
• Interviews staff and agencies to relay information between communities and officials.
• Assists in preparing and distributing informational materials about programs and activities.
• Plans, organizes and implements community participation programs and outreaches.
• Mediates problems between the community, schools, hospitals, and City agencies.
