Job summary

MaineHealth is seeking an Employment Specialist IV to help individuals with behavioral health services find and maintain meaningful employment across Aroostook County, Maine. You will work one-on-one with job seekers, connect with local employers, and collaborate with partners to create opportunities that support long-term success.

Responsibilities include coaching, resume prep, interview practice, employer outreach, and documenting progress.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in education, counseling, or social services or a Bachelor's with five years' vocational counseling experience.
• Current Certified Rehabilitation Counselor and/or IPS Skills Practitioner Certification, or obtain within one year.
• Five years' experience in related field required.
• Maine Certified IPS Practitioner preferred.

Responsibilities

• Meet with individuals to discuss career interests, skills, strengths, and job goals.
• Help participants search for jobs, prepare resumes, and practice interview skills.
• Build relationships with local employers and identify job opportunities.
• Connect individuals with community resources that support employment success.
• Provide coaching and support before, during, and after job placement.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers, community organizations, and support networks.
• Maintain documentation and track participant progress.
• Advocate for inclusive employment opportunities throughout the community.
