Job summary

SA-TECH, a DoD contractor, is hiring a Communications Engineering Technician IV at NAS Oceana in Virginia Beach, VA. The role focuses on maintaining all communications systems and equipment, with extensive troubleshooting, documentation, and procedural writing responsibilities.

Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma or equivalent, Navy C School/COMSEC training, and DOD 8570/IAT Level 1 certifications.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Formal Navy C School or vocational training in electronic equipment maintenance/COMSEC required.
• Must meet DOD 8570 certifications and IAT Level 1.
• May be required to obtain/maintain COMSEC certification.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate preventative maintenance on all systems and communications equipment.
• Perform complex troubleshooting and repair at component level; analyze RF systems.
• Document maintenance actions in IEMS; write and review work instructions.
• Maintain and operate all systems and communication equipment; ensure proper frequency usage.
• Travel up to 20% as required by program needs; support other range systems.
