Job summary

The Aerospace Corporation is seeking a Communications Systems Engineer (Senior Member of Technical Staff) to join the Mission Payloads Division in El Segundo, CA. You will work on communication systems, DSP, and signal processing for DoD and national programs in a full-time on-site role.

Minimum requirements include a Bachelor’s in a technical field, 2+ years of related experience, and the ability to obtain TS/SCI clearance. Travel up to 20% may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, mathematics, or related applicable technical discipline.
• Two or more years of increasingly responsible and related engineering/scientific experience.
• Understanding of several communication systems and digital signal processing concepts.
• Fluency in MATLAB, Python, C/C++.
• Ability to obtain TS/SCI clearance (U.S. citizenship required).
• Willingness to travel 10–20% domestically.

Responsibilities

• Solve technical problems on projects involving: physical layer modeling, waveform design, and link budget analysis.
• Develop and evaluate DSP algorithms and hardware prototypes.
• Translate concepts into well-defined technical plans and present results clearly.
