Job summary

Ten Strands is seeking a Senior Communications Manager to lead day-to-day organizational communications as a department of one, partnering with leadership and programs teams in California (remote).

You'll translate strategy into compelling content across websites, newsletters, social channels, and reports, while managing projects, vendors, and external communications to showcase impact and advance environmental literacy initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and professional experience.
• 8+ years in progressively responsible communications experience across multiple channels.
• Experience translating goals into plans, messaging, storytelling, and content.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders; experience coordinating consultants or vendors.

Responsibilities

• Partner with programs team to support educator outreach and curriculum promotion.
• Coordinate advocacy communications with leadership and coalition partners.
• Collaborate with development on donor communications and impact stories.
• Develop and publish content across digital and print channels, including website and newsletters.
• Oversee projects, consultants, and vendors with timely execution.
