Job summary

Cat Digital is seeking a communications leader to serve as the primary communications partner for AI & Analytics, Digital Applications, and Digital Platforms teams. You will translate complex technical work into clear narratives and develop executive presentations, talking points, and leadership messaging.

You will modernize formats, support change management for new technologies, and create external thought leadership content.

Qualifications

Strong writing skills and ability to distill complex information into clear, compelling narratives.
Experience using PowerPoint, Canva, Adobe Express, or similar tools.
Strong understanding of visual storytelling and presentation-based communication.
Ability to learn technical concepts related to software engineering, analytics, artificial intelligence, applications, digital platforms, and emerging technologies.
Executive presence and ability to support senior leaders.
Experience developing executive messaging, presentations, and leadership communications.
Experience supporting internal and external communications, including executive communications and media opportunities.

Responsibilities

Serve as the primary communications partner for the AI & Analytics, Digital Applications, and Digital Platforms teams within Cat Digital.
Develop compelling narratives connecting digital initiatives to business outcomes and enterprise strategy.
Modernize communication formats, styles, and delivery methods.
Translate complex technical concepts into clear, accessible stories for broad audiences.
Create executive presentations, talking points, speeches, leadership messaging, and strategic communications materials.
Develop content highlighting innovation, engineering achievements, and digital transformation initiatives.
Create, manage, and deploy internal communications through newsletters, Viva Engage, SharePoint, leadership messages, presentations, and organizational updates.
Partner with Cat Digital and enterprise stakeholders to identify and amplify stories supporting organizational priorities.
Support communications planning and change management for new technologies, digital initiatives, and organizational priorities.
Develop external communications including press releases, executive talking points, media statements, conference and panel materials, and thought leadership content.
Support executive visibility initiatives and position Cat Digital leaders as industry voices on technology, AI, and digital transformation.
Manage communications review and approval processes with Legal, Brand, and cross-functional stakeholders.
Advise three senior leaders on communication strategies, messaging, risks, stakeholder considerations, and organizational impact.
Manage communication priorities, workflows, timelines, and deliverables across multiple stakeholders.
Support leaders and teams across Cat Digital organizations.
Travel up to 25%

Requirements

Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills

Ability to simplify complex information and tailor messaging for diverse audiences

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Experience leveraging AI tools and emerging technologies for productivity, content creation, and research
Five or more years of experience in Communications, Public Relations, Executive Communications, or a related field
Strong project management skills
Proven ability to translate highly technical concepts into business narratives for non-technical audiences
Experience supporting internal and external communications, including executive communications, thought leadership, speaking engagements, and media opportunities
Familiarity with generative AI tools and prompting techniques
Ability to maintain confidentiality and navigate sensitive business information
Experience supporting technology, software engineering, analytics, AI, digital products, or digital transformation preferred
Experience working with global teams and stakeholders preferred

Successful completion of a drug screen required
