Job summary

Trilix is seeking a Senior Communications Specialist to shape multichannel communications across digital and traditional media, including PR planning, media relations, content development, executive media training, and crisis communications.

You will collaborate across clients and industries to craft clear, compelling communications and guide clients to connect with their audiences in today’s fast-paced media landscape.

Qualifications

• At least four years of public relations or communications experience.
• Degree in public relations or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Strong speaking, writing, and proofreading skills with familiarity with AP style.
• Self-starter who can work independently under tight client-driven deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Curiosity about new industries and a pulse on communications, media, and social trends.

Responsibilities

• Public Relations & Media Relations: Develop and implement PR plans to deliver results.
• Media Relations: Build and maintain media relationships and support outreach.
• Crisis & Issues Management: Advise on crisis communications and proactive issues management.
• Content & Client Communications: Write blogs, newsletters, and copy for digital/traditional channels.
• Communications Counsel: Advise clients on internal and external communications needs.
• Media Training: Train executives for presentations and interviews.
• Social Media: Develop strategies and advise on content across major platforms.
• Paid Social & Analytics: Manage paid efforts and analyze performance.
• Research & Insights: Conduct research to inform product and brand positioning.
• Manage additional PR projects as needed.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Public Relations & Media Relations

• PR Strategy: Develop and implement public relations plans designed to deliver results.
• Media Relations: Build and maintain media relationships and support proactive media outreach.
• Crisis & Issues Management: Advise clients on crisis communications, corporate communications, and proactive issues management.

Content & Client Communications

• Content Development: Write compelling client blogs, newsletters, and other copy for digital and traditional channels.
• Communications Counsel: Advise clients on internal and external communications across a variety of business needs.
• Media Training: Sharpen executives' presentation and interview skills through media training.

Social Media

• Social Strategy: Develop, plan, and advise on social media content across Facebook, X, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, and TikTok.
• Paid Social & Analytics: Manage paid social media efforts and analyze social media performance to inform recommendations.

Research & Positioning

• Research & Insights: Conduct research and analytics to inform product and brand market positioning.
• Additional Projects: Take on other public relations and communications projects as needed.

What We're Looking For:

• Education & Experience: At least four years of public relations or communications experience and a degree in public relations or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Writing & Editing: Strong speaking, writing, and proofreading skills, with familiarity with AP style.
• Independent Execution: A self-starter who can work independently, manage tight client-driven deadlines, and bring new ideas to the table in a fast-paced environment.
• Industry Awareness: Curiosity about new industries and a strong pulse on communications, media, and social trends.
