Job summary

Aptive, based in Alexandria, Virginia, seeks a communications specialist to support health informatics initiatives for federal agencies. You will craft messaging and content across clinical, operational, and partner audiences to improve information exchange and service delivery.

The role covers developing deployment messaging for EHR site transitions, managing internal channels, and coordinating with Agile teams during PI Planning and system demos.

Responsibilities

• Develop communication plans and calendars tailored to clinical, operational, and partner audiences.
• Write, edit, and produce newsletters, fact sheets, web content, briefings, and infographics.
• Promote health information exchange with Veterans, community providers, and industry partners.
• Develop deployment messaging for Federal EHR site transitions and VistA/CPRS changes.
• Manage content for the Health Informatics Community of Practice and internal channels.
• Support informatics workforce, training, and engagement programs.
• Draft press materials, talking points, and social media content for Government review.
• Participate in PI Planning, iteration ceremonies, and system demos with Agile teams.
