WPP is seeking a Manager, Corporate Communications & Media Relations in New York to support the US communications team with media relations, content, thought leadership, social media, and internal/external storytelling. The ideal candidate has 4–6 years in PR or corporate communications, strong writing, and the ability to work with reporters and editors; a holistic, collaborative mindset is essential.

Qualifications

• 4–6 years of experience in PR, media relations, or corporate communications.
• Strong relationships with key trade and business reporters are highly desirable.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational, project management, and prioritization skills.
• Proactive, reliable, and able to work independently while collaborating effectively.
• Familiarity with earned media, social media, and content amplification.

Responsabilités

• Manage press relations including evergreen stories, announcements, reactive inquiries, pitches, and media materials.
• Build relationships with reporters and editors across key trade, business, marketing, and advertising outlets.
• Staff media opportunities and support interview and press engagements.
• Identify and manage speaking opportunities, including conferences, panels, and thought leadership forums.
• Support industry awards strategy from identifying opportunities to developing nominations.
• Coordinate social media and coverage reporting around key press moments.
• Monitor relevant news and industry developments and share updates with internal teams.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to develop storytelling opportunities and support communications priorities.
• Manage timelines, deliverables, reminders, and follow-ups across communications projects.
