WPP Media is seeking a curious, organized Communications Associate to join its U.S. Communications team. This early-career role supports corporate communications, content, thought leadership, social media, and media relations with 1–3 years of experience.

Qualifications

• 4–6 years of experience in PR, media relations, or corporate communications, preferably in media, marketing, advertising, or related industries.
• Strong relationships with key trade and business reporters are highly desirable.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage press relations, including evergreen stories, announcements, reactive inquiries, pitches, and media materials.
• Build relationships with reporters and editors across key trade, business, marketing, and advertising outlets.
• Staff media opportunities and support preparation for interviews and press engagements.
• Identify and manage speaking opportunities, including conferences, panels, and thought leadership forums.
• Support industry awards strategy, including identifying opportunities and submitting nominations.
• Coordinate social media and coverage reporting around key press moments.
• Monitor relevant news and industry developments and share updates with internal teams.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to develop storytelling opportunities and support communications priorities.
• Manage timelines, deliverables, reminders, and follow-ups across communications projects.
