Job summary

Bonneville Environmental Foundation (BEF) seeks a Senior Communications Manager to lead external communications, media relations, and corporate storytelling. You will coordinate across program teams, guide vendors, and ensure consistent BEF messaging while advancing climate and water stewardship goals.

Reporting to the Chief of Staff, you will supervise social media, prepare spokespeople, monitor coverage, and build a strategic through-line across Renewables, Watersheds, BWS, and CBG.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Communications or related field or equivalent experience.
• Progressively responsible experience in communications, media relations, or PR in a nonprofit/environmental setting.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the central contact for external communications and media inquiries.
• Coordinate proactive/reactive media relations for climate and water stewardship coverage.
• Prepare spokespeople for interviews, panels, and public appearances; align talking points.
• Oversee BEF’s social media presence and ensure brand voice consistency across channels.
• Develop and implement crisis communications protocols with leadership.
