Job summary

Galapagos Federal Systems LLC is seeking an experienced Advanced Communications Facility Engineer to lead planning, implementation, maintenance, and optimization of telecommunications infrastructure and facility systems. The role emphasizes evaluating performance, safety, and compliance to improve efficiency and mission readiness.

The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise, project management skills, and experience with facility infrastructure, codes, and government regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, or related work experience in lieu of education.
• Minimum of 20 hours annually to maintain certificates if required.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Corporate Program Manager and On-Site Project Manager with program reporting and status updates.
• Gather and analyze technical data, blueprints, drawings, specifications, and reports to support facility projects.
• Determine facility, infrastructure, and equipment requirements and specifications.
• Analyze project costs, develop estimates, and support budget preparation and resource planning.
• Design and oversee facility expansions, layouts, infrastructure systems, and quality control activities.
• Evaluate operational systems and facility infrastructure to identify opportunities for improved efficiency and performance.
• Develop implementation plans and optimize resource allocation to support project objectives.
• Plan and coordinate infrastructure and equipment maintenance schedules and related activities.
• Coordinate and oversee contractors performing construction, installation, and maintenance activities.
• Ensure compliance with applicable government regulations, building codes, safety requirements, and quality standards.
• Prepare technical reports, project documentation, and compliance records.
