Job summary

IDOM USA in Sacramento is seeking a licensed PE Electrical Engineer to lead the program's communications systems, including fiber backbone, IP/MPLS, telephony, radio, CCTV, public address and network management.

Responsibilities include coordinating interfaces with train control and power systems, developing detailed design packages, and mentoring junior engineers across telephony and network sub-teams. Hybrid work with travel to the project site is available.

Qualifications

• 8+ years designing mission-critical communications or telecom networks.
• B.S. in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Active PE license in California and ability to lead design.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design of the program's communications systems: fiber backbone and IP/MPLS, telephony, radio, CCTV, PA and network management.
• Develop architectures, specifications and interfaces from preliminary to final design.
• Coordinate interfaces with train control, traction power, operations centers and third parties.
• Mentor junior engineers across telephony, wireless and network sub-teams.
• Review submittals and support construction, testing and commissioning.
