Job summary

Clocktower Group, a Santa Monica-based alternative asset management firm, seeks a Public Markets investment professional to cover global commodity managers. You will source, diligence, and monitor managers end-to-end, develop investment memos and presentations, and maintain CRM records while collaborating across teams.

The role offers autonomy within a fast-paced, global environment. The ideal candidate has 3–6+ years in hedge fund investing or asset management, strong analytics, and proficiency

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related field.
• 3-6+ years hedge fund investing or asset management experience.
• Proven ownership of due diligence on external managers.
• Strong analytical skills with large datasets and financial models.
• Proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, Word; CRM familiarity is a plus.
• Collaborative, self-starter with strong communication and integrity.
• Excellent organizational habits and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Independently source, evaluate, and monitor global commodity managers through full diligence process.
• Draft and present investment memos, slides, and internal presentations for committee review.
• Maintain records of manager communications and portfolio data in CRM.
• Conduct cross-commodity and cross-geographic industry research; create charts and reports.
• Monitor existing investments and future pipelines daily.
• Collaborate with senior investment professionals and operations teams to support firm goals.
