Job summary

Mainspring Energy is seeking a highly motivated, mechanically inclined Senior Commissioning Operations Technician to lead planned and reactive service operations and transition into technical operation of our systems.

You will ensure mechanical integrity of generators, perform initial configuration and startup, and collaborate with engineers to fix and improve components in a fast-paced field environment. Onsite work at Menlo Park HQ with substantial travel expectations.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of mechanical assembly/repair experience.
• Experience with automotive/heavy equipment assembly is a plus.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Knowledge of basic tools and torque specifications.
• Excellent communication skills and teamwork abilities.
• Willingness to travel nationwide up to 50%.
• Valid driver’s license; CDL preferred.

Responsibilities

• Mechanically repair and maintain generator components and assemblies per procedures and checklists.
• Collaborate with engineers to fix, repair, and redesign components.
• Conduct mechanical inspections and document condition information for debugging and troubleshooting.
• Perform on-site tasks with minimal supervision while prioritizing safety.
• Configure and startup custom linear generator systems per engineering parameters.
• Utilize automation scripts and commissioning toolkits to streamline onboarding and testing.
