UL Solutions in San Diego, CA is seeking a Commissioning Manager/Engineer to lead the commissioning of new construction, renovations, and existing buildings. You will ensure HVAC, electrical, plumbing, controls, and life-safety systems align with OPR, BOD, codes, and best practices.

The role requires 5+ years in commissioning/MEP engineering, a degree in mechanical or electrical engineering, and professional certifications; travel to project sites will be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• 5+ years of commissioning/MEP engineering experience.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, BAS/controls, electrical, plumbing, and life safety systems.
• Ability to read construction drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the lead commissioning project manager for multiple projects.
• Develop and maintain project commissioning plans and schedules.
• Lead kickoff meetings, design reviews, and functional performance testing.
• Coordinate among owners, architects, engineers, contractors, TAB firms, and controls vendors.
• Prepare commissioning reports and closeout documentation.
