JE Dunn's Advanced Facilities Group (AFG) combines Mission Critical, Advanced Industries, and Industrial & Manufacturing into one high-performing team focused on cutting-edge work to serve innovative clients on large Industrial & Manufacturing, Data Center, and Semiconductor projects. As part of the Advanced Facilities team, you'll work on some of the most advanced construction projects across the country, growing your career alongside our diverse team of industry professionals.
Key Role Responsibilities - Core
- Learns and actively participates in all aspects of the company's safety and quality plans and culture by demonstrating commitment to an injury-free environment through individual actions and mentoring others.
- Completes entry-level and routine mechanical, electrical, and field construction activities.
- Learns how to develop budgetary M/E estimates, based on program and schematic design information using automated M/E estimating systems.
- Assists in reviewing mechanical and electrical options during preconstruction and completes systems analysis for projects.
- Learns to develop the mechanical and electrical scopes of work for the bid process.
- Assists in bid analysis and subcontractor selection.
- Assists with sequencing of systems and schedule requirements.
- Gains knowledge of design documents to identify quality issues and assist in constructability reviews.
- Learns to perform job inspections to ensure specifications are met and work is of quality and timely.
- Assists with shop drawing/submittal processes.
- Supports the commissioning process, including checklists and testing.
Key Role Responsibilities - Additional Core
Senior M/E Engineer
- Performs complex mechanical, electrical, and field activities.
- Develops budget estimates based on design info.
- Reviews options, recommends systems, and suggests value engineering.
- Coordinates scopes during bidding.
- Develops system sequencing and provides scheduling input.
- Reviews design documents for quality issues.
- Performs inspections and develops quality control programs.
- Develops and verifies functional testing procedures.
- Prepares and reviews shop drawings.
- Generates and issues the Commissioning Plan.
- Verifies deficiencies and submits documentation.
- Mentors less experienced staff.
- Creates tools and solutions for process improvement.
- Negotiates subcontracts and purchases equipment.
- Builds client relationships, participates in interviews, and represents JE Dunn externally.
- Manages resource allocation and staffing.
- Promotes diversity and inclusion policies.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Education
- Bachelor's degree in relevant engineering or related field (Required).
- Equivalent relevant experience considered.
Experience
- 10+ years construction management experience (Preferred).

- Valid driver’s license required.
